SHIPPING POLICY

Provide detailed information on shipping methods, costs, and expected delivery times for both national (within Portugal) and international orders.

  • Shipping Options: Currently all shipments are handled via CTT economy. Deliveries are typically handled by your local postal carrier. If you prefer a different carrier please contact us for a shipping quote.

  • Costs: Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout by the overall weight of your order.

  • Customs Fees: International shipments might incur additional customs fees.

  • Shipping Times: Products that are in stock will ship within 3-5 business days. Made to order products will be shipped within the lead time window indicated on the product page.

RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

As many of our products are made to order we consider these to be personalized products and exempt from the standard EU required 14 day return policy when they are ordered on-line. Therefore, all online sales are final and returns are not allowed.

We do have exceptions to this policy under the below circumstances:

  • Exchanges: As we do not accept returns for online orders but exchanges can be made, dependent on product availability, within 14 days of receipt of your order. For all exchanges if the customer is unable to make the exchange in person at our studio they will be responsible to cover both the shipping costs to return the product and the shipping cost of the new item to be sent to them. Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not always able to be processed.

  • Refunds: For online orders we only offer refunds on products that arrive damaged or defective due to shipping or manufacturing error.

  • Damaged Goods: If a shipment arrives with notable damage on the exterior please ask the delivery person to wait while you inspect the shipment. Photograph the exterior of the package noting the damage. If the product inside is damaged please photograph the damage and refuse to accept or sign for the shipment. Please send us all photographs and details and we will resolve with the carrier. You will be issued a full refund or a replacement product (if possible). If you accept the shipment with noticeable damage without inspection, you accept responsibility for the condition of the product inside. Again, please contact us with pictures and a description of the damage and we will do our best to resolve the issue but a full refund might not be possible under these circumstances. We require all pictures and descriptions of damage within 14 days of receiving your order. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of notice of damage if refund is warranted.

  • Defective Goods: Products that arrive defective or not in the working state or condition described in our online store will be entitled to a full refund but we must be notified within 14 days of receiving the shipment. After this time we have to assume that damage or defect is the result of usage and any damage incurred on our products due to usage does not qualify for a refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of notice of defect if refund is warranted.

  • Repairs: If a product becomes damaged due to usage we try to work with our customers to find a local entity to conduct repairs at the expense of the customer. Please contact us about repairs to products. For customers in Porto we can handle repairs of products at the expense of the customer.

For all of these circumstances please contact us to begin the process of exchange or refund.

WARRANTY

We stand by the quality of our products and as a company that creates with waste materials we work hard to prevent our products from becoming waste again. If you believe a product does not function as described or is not up to a reasonable standard of quality, please contact us. Under certain circumstances repairs or refunds for quality issues will be covered by us. These considerations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

END OF LIFE

When a product is unable to be repaired or has reached its perceived “end of life,” please reach out to us. We work hard to find options for all the materials in our products other than sending them for disposal. For example, one of the main reasons we work with aluminum is that it can be continually melted down and used in the creation of new products without any loss to the quality of the material. We have a network of resources and facilities that these materials can often go to at their end of life. Again, please contact us if one of our products reaches this stage and we will work to create an outcome that helps to keep it alive.
