Intro to Wood Turning & Scroll Saw
During this 1 day, hands-on workshop artist Michael Douglas Too will introduce you to the two coolest machines found in our woodworking studio: the lathe and the scroll saw. Attendees will receive general instruction and tips followed by individual time to work with both machines with instructor guidance and assistance. During the individual time attendees will get the option to make their own candle holder or wall-mounted hanging hook created from components fabricated on both machines and made from repurposed materials salvaged right here in Porto. You will not only leave with your own piece (made by you) but the knowledge and skills to confidently use both of these incredibly versatile machines for your own future creations!
